Our favorite “hometown coffee shop” is celebrating its first anniversary this week with daily prizes and an awesome new menu item. Cook Street Coffee opened for business on June 25th, 2009 and they’re starting their week-long celebration today.

The coffee shop is holding daily raffles all week. You’ll get one raffle ticket for each drink you order this week and will be eligible to win gift cards and coffee prizes. On this Saturday, June 26th, they’ll also be hosting an “Open Mic” session from 1-4PM. You can come to perform or just to be entertained while you sip your favorite smoothie or cup of coffee.

Cook Street serves coffee, lattes, espresso, smoothies, pastries and they just started serving sandwiches, too! These aren’t just any sandwiches. They’re the famous sandwiches served at Frank’s Karma Cafe in Wauconda!  They are  delicious and fit right in with Cook Street Coffee’s philosophy of only carrying food and coffee from local vendors.

You’ll find Cook Street Coffee on the Corner of Cook and Station Streets  in downtown Barrington and you can reach them by phone at 847-387-3768.
