Plus, there are also some new attractions this year, including a “Jumping Pillow” which is like a giant moonwalk where kids can bounce til they drop. There’s also a “Giraffe Barn” where you can walk up a large ramp, be eye-to-eye with and actually feed two full-size giraffes.

Petting Zoo at Goebbert's Farm Market

Goebbert’s Farm Market is a working family farm and has been in South Barrington since 1972. Jim Goebbert is semi-retired, but his sons, Lee and Lloyd still run the family farms in South Barrington and Hampshire, Illinois. If you drop by the South Barrington farm with your family this year, you might find Lee watering the flowers or working the farm. He and his family live right there in the house you’ll see in the parking lot.

But it can get crowded at Goebbert’s, especially as Halloween approaches, so here’s an insider tip…The office manager, Sue Murdock, says, “It’s wonderfully quiet here during the week, especially first thing in the morning. You can really take your time and it’s more cost effective.” She also says that Sundays are busier than Saturdays.   They’re forecasting that their busiest day will be Sunday, October 17th and the weekend before Halloween it going to be a busy one, too.
