Earlier this week I promised that I’d follow up with some fun Halloween activities going on this weekend for adults in Barrington and there’s one event happening tomorrow night that sounds simply sinful. It’s called “Bubbles, Bon Bons and Brie” and you’re going to DIE when you hear the details. Skull Lollipop anyone?
The party is happening from 6:30 to 9PM at Anna Shea Chocolates & Lounge at the South Barrington Arboretum tomorrow night, October 29th.
The event costs $20 per person and you’ll enjoy the Live Music of Ben Calhoun while you sip and sample a great variety of grown up treats. Anna Shea’s special drink of the evening will be a “Blood Orange Bubbling Martini” which will taste great while you’re listining to local musician, Ben Calhoun, perform LIVE. Ben is known for his debut album, “I’m a Dreamer” and his band, “The Least of These“. Fans say his lyrics are personal and his music is inspiring.
While you’re taking in the sounds of Ben Calhoun and sipping your bubbling martini cauldron, why not sink your teeth into a blood orange bon bon with a side of Anna Shea’s special “Carmel & Bewitching Brie”. This seasonal and savory appetizer is baked brie served with fresh apples, candied walnuts, balsamic glaze and a drizzle of caramel. It’s a special dish inspired by the colors and flavors of the season and will leave you wanting more.
They’ll also be serving other fun & spooky Halloween-themed chocolates created by artisans right in their South Barrington production facility. You’ll discover that their chocolates are like edible art, like their “Eerie Eyeball” bites made in the spirit of Halloween. These creamy caramels with a hint of warming cinnamon are sold in a 5 pack for $13 and available through Halloween. Eyeballs have never tasted so good. YUM!
They’ve also created a series of trick-or-treat chocolate lollipops like their “Spider Web Lolli”, “Pumpkin Lolli”, “Candy Corn Lolli” and they have a “Bat Lolli” too. Sound good?
