312. Quietly Congratulate our Neighbors to the North

1 min read

I’ve felt the pangs of rivalry. I’ve heard the fightin’ words. I even heard some cheese ball honking his horn all the way down our street after the Green Bay Packers (31) defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers (25), winning Super Bowl XLV tonight.  Green and gold will NEVER be worn in our Chicago Bears household, but this is one RARE occasion where I think it’s somewhat appropriate to ever-so-coolly congratulate our neighbors to the north. Although that Vince Lombardi trophy will surely go to their …… heads.  (being nice here)

Tonight’s game was a good one and even my husband, a man who bleeds orange and blue, had something positive to say about the Packers. He was very selective with his words and made sure to clarify that while he’s not “happy” about the Packers’ Super Bowl victory, his hat’s off to the team for their effort. And I think the flattery will end there with thoughts of next season…and BASEBALL!

PS…It’s OK if you don’t “Like” this one.  I wholeheartedly understand if you do not support my thoughts tonight ;).
