337. "Hot Happenings" in Barrington for March 3-6
Because there are so many things planned for weekends in Barrington, today we’re debuting a weekly list of “Hot Happenings” for Thursdays through Sundays in Barrington. Our first event is a cool party that’s going on TONIGHT at L’Eiffel Bistrot and Creperie in South Barrington.
It’s a Mardi Gras celebration with Carnival Brazilian Dancers and a special Cajun 3-course dinner…
Two Brazilian Dancers and four musicians will perform during dinner, transporting you to Rio De Janiero with the rhythm of the Samba, Samba…. The three course Mardi Gras meal and entertainment cost $70 per person and includes a complimentary glass of traditional Leblon Cachaca Caipirinha Wine. There will also be a costume contest with prizes! Reservations are required, so give them a call at 847-428-4783. You’ll find L’Eiffel Bistrot at South Barrington Arboretum, 100 W. Higgins Road, and you’ll find them online at LEiffelBistrot.com.
Also tonight, Barrington High School’s theater department debuts their Spring Musical, “The Sound of Music”. Performances will take place March 3, 4 and 5 at 7:30 PM. Matinee shows will also be on March 5 & 6 at 2:30 PM. All seats are reserved. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students and children. Seniors citizens are admitted for free. Tickets for the musical are available online by clicking HERE or you can call the Fine Arts Department at 847-842-3280.
If you’d like to preview some of the hottest new fashions, you’re invited to check out a Spring Fashion Show called “Come on, Let Your Colors Burst!” at NV Clothing on Sunday Afternoon at 3PM. NV’s neighbors at Laura B Salon are in charge of hair and make-up and I’m told there are some fun local models taking part. After the show, you’re invited to stay for shopping and refreshments. You’ll find NV Clothing at 202 S. Cook Street in Barrington and you can check them out online at NVClothing.com.
If you want to add anything to one of our upcoming “Hot Happenings” lists, add your event to our community calendar, which you’ll find by clicking HERE. I’ll put your event on our regular list of weekend “Things to Do” and we’ll help spread the word about your picks for the hottest happenings in town.
