Downtown Barrington becomes the Beer Capitol of Chicagoland for one day every year and that’s TOMORROW! If you’d like to grab a cold one or sample sips of 50 local and regional craft brews, you don’t want to miss the 8th Annual Barrington Brew Fest, happening from 3 to 7 p.m.

Barrington Brew Fest will take place under the Brat Tent in the north lot of Barrington’s Metra Station. If you’d like to taste and learn about a delicious variety of frothy brews, you’ll have the chance to learn from the pros…

There will be brewmasters and beer connoisseurs on hand to describe the flavors and brewing techniques used to produce some of the best regional beers. You can try them all as you catch up with friends, sample local foods and shop a variety of beer-related vendors who will be new to the Brew Fest this year.

Beer Food will be offered by McGonigal’s Pub, Coopers of Barrington and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. There will be also be games like a Bean Bag (Baggo) Contest, 50/50 raffle and performance by Classic Rock cover band, Second Time Around. Annual Summer Brew Fest in Barrington, Illinois

Tickets to Barrington Brew Fest are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. The admission price includes the beer tastings, a souvenir glass and a free Brew Fest T-shirt for the first 750 people who purchase tickets. You’ll find more information and can purchase tickets online at BarringtonBrewFest.com or you can pick up advance tickets in person at McGonigal’s Pub, Onion Pub and Wool Street Grill & Sports Bar. Proceeds from the Barrington Brew Fest will pay for programs offered by the Barrington Area Council on Aging. Now I’ll drink to that!
