If it takes couture quality cupcakes to satisfy your sophisticated sweet tooth, then today is your lucky day! A brand new business called Couture Cupcake Café and Gelato Bar is opening it’s doors in Kildeer and we’re all invited to sample the sweets at tonight’s Grand Opening, pink-ribbon cutting ceremony and cupcake celebration. Owner Cathi Volante has been working hard to open her unique café’s doors since gaining strong local support from the community.
Because Volante and her crew will be baking all day today, the café’s doors will be closed until tonight’s ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m. The pink carpet will then be rolled out and everyone will be invited to join the Couture crew inside for FREE cupcakes, Italian gelato, smoothies and coffee!
They’ll also have a designer raffle featuring a number of local businesses, for which part of the proceeds will benefit their Relay for Life Team “Cupcakes with a Cause.” Couture Cupcake Café and Gelato Bar is a chic and new niche bakery in the Northwest suburbs, serving over 135 different kinds of gourmet cupcakes in a variety of “collections.” Collections include Vintage Cakes, Modern Cakes, Wedding Cakes, Kid Cakes and even Man Cakes with options that include savory ingredients along with the sweet, like tomatoes, bacon and pepperoni. Plus, they’ll serve fresh brewed coffee and Groovy Smoothies to cleanse your palate between bites. They also specialize in cupcakes that are gluten free, vegan, organic, sugar free and 100 calorie so there’s a cake for everyone!
Plus, Volante goes the distance on her Custom and Extreme Cakes as well, making everything from Yoda to Pizza Cakes. It’s easy to see why members of the community and the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce dubbed her “The Cake Boss of Lake County”. The café’s imported Italian Gelato bar and organic coffee are just the icing on the Couture cake.
