Your passport to Morocco awaits…with a magical 1940’s inspired Casablanca theme for the annual gala to benefit Wellness Place Cancer Education and Support. This year’s gala, called A Night in Casablanca …Your Passport to Morocco, is coming up on Saturday, August 25th, at the Chicago Symphony Center and includes dinner, a live auction, music and (as always) plenty of fancy footwork on the dance floor!

The Wellness Place Women’s Auxiliary organizes this elegant evening out each year to support programs offered by Wellness Place.  The Auxiliary has raised over $2 million since it’s creation and plays a large role in raising both awareness and funds for Wellness Place.  The price per guest for A Night in Casablanca is $250 and the organizers hope to raise over $100,000 with this event.

The itinerary for the evening includes a cocktail hour, which starts at 7 p.m. and seated dinner at 8 p.m.  A live auction will be followed by dancing to The Stu Hirsh Orchestra.

A special attraction at this year’s event will be the presentation of the Pat and Vince Foglia Commitment and Loyalty Award to Peter Economos of North Barrington, who has been a Wellness Place board member and supporter for many years.

Wellness Place offers professional support, free of charge, to individuals, families and caregivers affected by cancer.  A Night in Casablanca is a great opportunity to support the cause AND plan a night out the gorgeous Chicago Symphony Center and National Historic Landmark at 220 S. Michigan Avenue.  Visit WellnessPlace.org to purchase tickets and help make a difference in the lives of local families facing cancer.
