271. What are You Thankful For Thanksgiving Contest

Now that Halloween is behind us, let’s face it, turkey day will be here in a flash, with our favorite holiday foods finding their way back to our tables. We thought it would be fun to host a Thanksgiving-themed contest here at 365Barrington.com and decided to go-for-it when Heinen’s Fine Foods offered some pretty appetizing prizes for THREE WINNERS! Entering the contest is as easy as sharing your answer to this one simple question…

What are you thankful for this year? Is there one thing that stands out above all others in 2012? What do you think your family will be giving thanks for at the table this year as you pass the turkey and stuffing? Because food is the focal point of this holiday, we asked Barrington’s new grocery store, Heinen’s Fine Foods, if they’d offer the prizes for our winners this month. They agreed to share three gift cards for three winners, who will be selected in a drawing and revealed during Thanksgiving week.

It’s as simple as that! To enter the contest, just share what you’re most thankful for in the form below or on the Facebook pages for 365 Barrington or Heinen’s Fine Foods. There’s even a place to add a favorite photo that matches your thankful thoughts, if you’re willing to share. Please submit your answers through Tuesday, November 20th, we’ll reveal the three winners on Wednesday, November 21st and on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, I’ll be too busy eating turkey to type!

You’ll find the entry form below. But, to get this contest started, I’ll go first. One thing I’m thankful for in 2012 is that I was able to watch our three young kids experience the joy of three “firsts” this past year. Our four-year-old daughter, Grace, learned that she loves to swing by herself, without being pushed.

Our two-year-old son, Billy, learned to ride a bike. (Next year, we’ll actually take off the training wheels.)

And our one-year-old son, Tommy, learned how to walk.  He’s loving life now that he’s upright.

I’ll admit, there have been highs and lows with these three littluns needing our constant attention, but we feel so grateful to have them in our lives.  How about you? If you’d like to enter the contest for a chance to win gift cards to purchase groceries at Heinen’s this holiday season, here’s where you submit your Thankful Thoughts. Good luck!
