Toys for Tots Donation During Santa's Arrival

If you’d like to put Christmas gifts under the tree for kids whose parents can’t afford presents this year, it’s easily done. The Village of Barrington is helping the United States Marine Corps.’ Toys for Tots campaign by collecting toy donations during the community’s tree lighting celebration this Saturday.

If you’d like to donate a new, unwrapped toy to the campaign, just bring them down to Santa’s red house in the Village Center (On Cook Street south of Main Street).  They’ll be collecting toys between 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. this Saturday, December 1st.

Since 1947, the United States Marine Corps. Reserve Toys for Tots program has provided toys to millions of children throughout the country. Whether you are in town to ride the Barrington Holiday Trolley, or take a horse-drawn carriage ride or visit Santa in his red Santa House, the Village asks that you please consider bringing a toy to share with a deserving child.

For more information about the program or to request a toy for your child, visit ToysForTots.org.
