Always up on the latest trends in technology, The Barrington Area Library is helping patrons get techie with a series of upcoming classes about how to use those new e-Readers that you received as gifts this year.

Experts at the library will be showing patrons how to check out library e-Books for your e-Reader during these hands-on classes that are starting in early January and everyone will go home with an e-book on their device. Here are the upcoming dates:

E-reader e-book class: (Click on the links to register)

Jan 5, 10-11 AM
Jan 5, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Jan 8, 2-3 PM
Jan 12, 1-2 PM
Jan 12, 3-4 PM

Kindle e-book class:

Jan 5, 1-2 PM
Jan 8, 3:30 – 4:30 PM
Jan 12, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Tablet & smart phone e-book class:

Jan 5, 3-4 PM
Jan 12,10-11 AM

Classes will take place in the Zimmerman Room at the Library.   Instructors ask that you please remember to bring your library card number to the class. They also suggest that you sign up early as space is limited. Also, if you have a Nook Tablet or Color, they say be sure to sign up for the Tablet and Smartphone class.
