Did you know you can help the older adults in our community simply by dining at specific restaurants in Barrington this month?  Every year in March BACOA, the Barrington Area Council on Aging, leads the local effort to support the month-long “March for Meals” campaign, an initiative sponsored by the Meals on Wheels Association of America.

To take part, all you have to do is mention BACOA to your server or present the flier found below when you dine on the following dates at the restaurants listed below.  On your behalf, the restaurants will make a donation to BACOA’s meals programs aimed at raising awareness of senior hunger and nutrition programs for older adults.  BACOA’s local events will help support Meals on Wheels and the Senior Lunch and Activity Program.

Participating restaurants are:

TODAY – Tuesday, March 19: Wool Street Grill and Sports Bar, 128 Wool St, Barrington. (Lunch, dinner and late-night; dine-in only. No coupon needed; just mention BACOA to your server.)

Tuesday, March 26: McGonigal’s Pub, 105 S. Cook St., Barrington. (Click here for flier.)

Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria and Pub at the Arboretum of South Barrington also participated in the March for Meals campaign earlier this month.
