Our jaws literally dropped when we stepped inside the warehouse and saw the sheer quantity of fall and winter merchandise available at the Growing Cents of Style children’s consignment sale happening in Lake Barrington this weekend.  You will find incredible discounts on just about everything your kids need at this sale.  It’s the 16th children’s shopping event hosted by Jenny Welsh, the Barrington native who founded Growing Cents of Style in 2006 offering a way to a.) help shoppers find the children’s clothing they desire most at a fraction of the cost and b.) earn extra money for their families.

The most amazing thing to see at Growing Cents of Style is how shoppers literally LINE UP outside the sale to be among the first to be let in the door when it opens!  That’s how fantastic these prices are for the designer and gently used kids’ clothes, shoes, toys and accessories you can expect to find.

Jenny hosts Growing Cents of Style twice a year, in the spring and in the fall, and each season the quantity of merchandise available multiplies.

“I think a huge reason for that is need.  So many of the people that I talk to are just really smart in terms of  their purchasing power.  They’ve become really savvy shoppers.”

At the Growing Cents of Style sale you’ll find high quality boutique and designer clothing (sizes newborn – size 16), shoes, accessories, baby gear and gently used toys as far as the eye can see.  You can purchase all of the clothing your kids need for the new season – OR – sell the items they’ve outgrown on consignment.  And there’s no question the need is there and the interest is growing as they have the most merchandise ever available for purchase this season;  30,000 items from about 400 consignors in this weekend’s sale alone!

I recently bumped into Jenny Welsh at the grocery store and was able to get the scoop about what’s new at this weekend’s fall sale. She says there are several new things that will make shopping Growing Cents of Style even more enjoyable!

“We now have a have a fully expanded selection of sizes in both boys and girls all the way up to size 16 so our assortment is stronger than ever this season in the larger children’s sizes.”

And, as always, there’s also a big charitable component to Jenny’s Growing Cents of Style sale.  She’s made arrangements for organizations & initiatives like WINGS, Barrington Giving Day and Wishes for Scarlett to receive donations of clothing, toys or funds from this year’s sale.
