Break out your best hats, dresses and seersucker suits and join Barrington Children’s Charities for their 2015 Kentucky Derby Party coming up from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd.
This year’s fifth annual event will take place at The Anvil Club, 309 Meier Street in East Dundee. Funds raised will support Barrington Children’s Charities’ efforts to address the social, emotional, physical and educational needs of children within the Barrington 220 School District area.
Wear your best Derby attire (hats encouraged) and enjoy this fun, exciting event at the newly-remodeled Anvil Club. Food will be served, there will be an open bar, live music, live Derby broadcast, Best Dressed awards and more!

1. Help Kids by Purchasing a Souvenir Mint Julep Cup
Each year at the Kentucky Derby, more than 120,000 Mint Juleps are enjoyed. At Barrington Children’s Charities Derby Party, put these numbers to good use. Purchase a Mint Julep cup to help feed local children in need. Only 100 cups will be available for purchase at $100 each. 2. Take Home Lush Derby Decor
It’s Spring planting time! This year’s Derby Party decor will be recyclable. They’re decoration The Anvil Club with beautiful, lush hanging plants that you can purchase to take home – or to give as a gift for Mother’s Day. 3. Join the Circle of Roses – New this year!
Barrington Children’s Charities’ Blessings in a Backpack program needs additional funding to cover backpacks of food for long weekends and holidays when at-risk children are out of school. They’re looking for ten generous donors to give $1,000 each to cover the costs of this program. 4. Place Your Winning Bets
Purchase your 50/50 raffle tickets online or at the event. If you purchase online, you can draw your horse picks on Derby day when you check in.
