293. Big Band Concert to Celebrate Barrington United Methodist Church 175th Anniversary

Barrington United Methodist Church will be celebrating the church’s 175th anniversary with a live performance by Big Band Sound of Deerfield on Sunday, October 4th, and all are welcome!

The celebration will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday when Big Band Sound of Deerfield performs. The 18-piece band with a vocalist is known for its exciting renditions of songs made famous by Glen Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, and others.

Admission to the concert is free but donations for Family Service of Barrington Area will be appreciated. Family Service of Barrington Area is a not-for-profit organization that offers mental health education and counseling to all individuals and families, regardless of their age, religion, economic circumstances, and ethnic background. Family Service was started in the Barrington area in the 1960’s through the efforts of members of the Barrington United Methodist Church.
