For this week’s Menu Monday feature, we’re taking a trip to Gianni’s Cafe, with locations in Kildeer and downtown Palatine. Owned and operated by a Barrington-area family, Gianni’s specializes in homemade pasta and sauces made from scratch. They also offer an extensive selection of seafood dishes and specials, prepared with favorite family recipes.
And don’t let the white tablecloth fool you! Gianni’s is a casual Italian restaurant, featuring a wide array of specials and menu offerings for both lunch and dinner.
One thing most people may not know is that Gianni’s lunch menu in Kildeer has a great variety of salads, sandwiches and wraps. They offer weekly lunch specials and a large lunch menu including three homemade soups every day and many delicious and unique salads offered in small and large sizes. It’s the perfect lunch spot if you’re out shopping along Rand, at Deer Park Town Center or the Shops at Kildeer!
Some customer lunch favorites include Gianni’s Grilled Salmon over Grilled Romaine, Arugula Salad with Cherry Tomato & Grilled chicken, Fresh Fish & Shellfish Daily, Chef’s Choice Salumi board featuring a variety of artisanal cold meats, cheese, olives & antipasti.
Gianni’s Palatine is also a favorite spot for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday with an omelette station, pasta station, shrimp cocktail, fruit, egg choices, bacon, french toast, potatoes and lunch items as well.

Gianni’s also offers daily Happy Hour Appetizers at the Bar every day from 4 to 6 p.m., priced from $5.00. On Tuesdays, 25 featured wines are priced at $25.00 and their weekly specials start every Friday.
