Guess Where Wednesday Mystery Photo Contest: A Blue View

We’re ready to reveal the location of last week’s mystery photo and announce the winner. But first, we have our new Guess Where Wednesday mystery photo of the week. This seascape depicts a rich blue scene found far away from Barrington, but we snapped the photo right in the heart of the Village. Can you guess where we were?

If you know where 365Barrington writer and photographer, Kate Smith captured this week’s mystery photo, enter your guess below for a chance to win our weekly prize which is somehow linked to the place where the photo was taken.

Now to last week’s mystery. Kate was really trying to stump us with that one. Our guesses included, “Briddick Tile”, “Heinen’s” and the “women’s bathroom at Shakou”…

But several people correctly guessed that it’s a picture of the atrium floor in the entrance to the Barrington Area Library. We just drew her name and the winner is… NANCY DAVIS!!!

Your prize is copy of the book The Martian, courtesy of the Barrington Area Library. Published in 2011, The Martian is author Andy Weir’s debut novel under his own name. The film adaptation directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon is up for Best Picture at this weekend’s Academy Awards and the book is this month’s read for the library’s book club, Lit.  Congratulations, Nancy!  We’ll be in touch with details about your prize.
