Don’t miss the 13th annual Barrington Brew Fest coming up on Saturday July 9, from 3-7 p.m. in downtown Barrington’s Metra train station parking lot. This year’s fest will feature more than 90 unique brews from 50 brewers! Along with all of that cold and frothy brew, there will be live music and a variety of food. You can purchase tickets online or at the door.
The 2016 Barrington Brew Fest is hosted by the Barrington Area Council on Aging and proceeds will benefit the elderly with programs that include:
Memory Cafe, a socialization program for those struggling with Alzheimer’s and dementia and their caregivers * “A Day Out” Respite program, which provides engaged care for those with health issues while their caregiver takes needed time away * Meals with Wheels, a hot, food program for elderly unable to cook either because of poor health or low income, Support and education groups for those struggling with everything from Alzheimer’s to Parkinson’s. While supporting BACOA is one of BrewFest’s major missions, the event’s goal is to bring beer lovers together to sample a variety of beers produced by about fifty breweries.
What goes best with a cool brew? Good food! Brew Fests vendors will be serving up a selection of summer favorites.
Tickets will be available at the entrance for $50 (cash only).
The ticket price includes beer samplings, a tasting glass and Brew Fest t-shirt (while supplies last). They also offer a $20 Designated Driver ticket which includes unlimited soft drinks, Brew Fest t-shirt and souvenir tasting glass.
