Final Farmers Market of 2016
The final Barrington Farmer’s Market of the 2016 season will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 13th at Cook & Main Streets in downtown Barrington. Be sure to stop by and say thanks to this year’s vendors for a great season! Learn more at BarringtonFarmersMarket.com.

Crop Hunger Walk
Join the Barrington Area Crop Hunger Walk to help fight hunger this Sunday 10/16/2016 at 12:30. The 34th Barrington Area CROP Hunger Walk kickoff will be at Saint Anne, 120 E. Ela st. Barrington. 1 or 5 Mile walk throughout the Village of Barrington. All are welcome. Learn more, join and support the walk at crophungerwalk.org/barringtonil.

Coffee & Conversation with the Village Board
Mark your calendars for an opportunity to meet with the Village Board and hear about current projects. It’s a wonderful occasion to get to know your elected officials and ask questions about the issues that matter most to you. The Village Board will be available Saturdays, October 15 and November 12 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Barrington’s Village Hall, 200 S. Hough Street. Scarecrow Festival
The Village of Barrington will host their annual Scarecrow Festival at Memorial Park on Hough Street from 11am – 2pm on Saturday, October 15th. There will be FREE family activities including pony rides, pumpkin and scarecrow decorating, games, face painting, music & more!For more information visit: Barrington-il.gov.

 A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Don’t let this Shakespeare classic intimidate you! This visually striking and comic play, performed by some of BHS’s most talented players, is presented in a manner that can be enjoyed by even those who are unfamiliar with it. Showtimes are October 13, 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. plus October 15th at 2 p.m. with Dinner & Discussion event on Friday, October 14th. Tickets now on sale! $8 for adults, $6 for seniors. Kaleidoscope School of Fine Art 30th Anniversary Gala
Join Kaleidoscope School of Fine Art during their 30th Anniversary “Lasting Impressions” Celebration & Benefit featuring dinner, live music & an auction on Friday, October 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Barrington’s White House, 145 West Main Street in Barrington, IL 60010. Halloween Spooktacular
Children from age 1-10 with a parent are invited to come enjoy the Barrington Park District’s annual Halloween Spooktacular costume party featuring children’s music, games, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, hayrides, candy hunt and more! Deer Park Town Center Trick-or-Treating
Deer Park Town Center shops and restaurants will be hosting FREE Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, October 29, starting at noon, while supplies last. Look for pumpkin decals on participating stores doors or windows, and grab a complimentary treat bag at Brilliant Sky Toys & Books.

Feets of Strength
A fun event for the whole family at Citizens Parkat 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 16th! Organized by Broncos Committed students from BHS, this UST&F event offers a 5K run for more serious athletes, a 1-Mile run/walk or a 1K option for the little runners. Trophies will be awarded for all age groups for male & female participants. The events supports Barrington LEADS, a community coalition with more than 400 members, mostly parents seeking to become knowledgeable about teen drugs and alcohol usage and to learn ways of navigating these tough parenting years.
