New Highlights, More Wine Vendors Coming to 13th Annual Uncork Barrington

For the first time ever, the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce is taking a leading role in planning Uncork Barrington alongside BACOA and the Barrington Village Association, with exciting new highlights coming to this year’s event. Multiple new wine and food vendors are participating to bring a fresh take and more variety to the 13th annual Uncork Barrington.

The charitable wine tasting event is coming up at the Barrington Metra Station Tent Pavilion from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 7th. Attendees will enjoy an evening of wine, food and live entertainment from The Claudettes, while supporting important community organizations.

Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 the day of the event and can be purchased online at UncorkBarrington.com.

Admission includes access to over 50 wines, 20 one oz. tasting pours, a souvenir wine glass, a Passport Event Guide, and complimentary nibbles. Additional food and wine will also be available for purchase. Designated driver tickets are available for $25.00. For a more high-end experience, a $90 VIP ticket is available. VIP guests have access to several top-shelf wines, dedicated food served by Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and a special VIP tent in an atmosphere reminiscent of a Napa vineyard. All guests must be at least 21 years old to attend.

Now in its 13th year, Uncork Barrington is co-hosted by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC), Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA) and Barrington Village Association, Uncork is an important funding source for local charities. This year the event proceeds will benefit Career Place, Barrington Children’s Choir, BACOA, Barrington Area United Way, Barrington Youth and Family Services and Samaritan Counseling Center.
