The sun is shining (at least for now), the forecast calls 70 degrees and I feel like getting outside and planting something in the garden. But first, I’m heading over to the third annual Spring Antique and Garden Show at the Ice House Mall. It’s happening all day today and tomorrow and there are treasures to be found that are sure bring some sunshine into your own home or garden.

27. Park Avenue Wine Bar and Merchant

I sat down at the Park Avenue Wine Bar in Barrington last night and for a minute I forgot I was in the suburbs.  A cool curved backlit bar, the reflection from pendant lights above and exposed brick walls give the space a very urban vibe and I can see why Barrington’s newest night spot is one of the hottest places in town.
