It’s the last day of summer, 2017. What are you doing to celebrate? I have just the thing! Have you heard about the new “3rd Thursdays” at Barrington’s White House? They’re hosting a series of special art events on the third Thursday of the month and – as luck would have it – it’s Thursday! Come on out to see this month’s art exhibit TONIGHT featuring the work of local artist Margarita Bauer followed by a performance by the James Pedicone Band.

The James Pedicone Band is known for its sophisticated take on classic songs that are rarely covered by other bands. From their 40’s favorites to contemporary selections, the band picks their songs based on personal taste. They all have a deep love and respect for a range of musical genres including Bluegrass, Jazz, Folk, Rock, R&B and Blues. Visit JamesPediconeBand.com to hear a sampling of their music.

While there is a $20 admission fee to see the James Pedicone Band, this month’s artist reception is free. Margarita Bauer has been a well-known artist in the Barrington area since the 1950’s and has been making significant contributions through her body of work for over 70 years.

The event takes place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21st, with music starting at 7:30. You’ll find the artist’s reception on the first floor and the band on the third. Chef Jeramie Campana of Wild Asparagus will be preparing seasonal complimentary appetizers in the kitchen to accompany a cash bar. Click here to register to see the James Pedicone Band.
