Spanning approximately 29 square miles, the Village of Barrington Hills is located 40 miles northwest of Chicago.

Nestled among winding roads, trees, and rolling hills, residents experience the best of both country and suburban living. Large properties ranging from one to 10+ acres give residents more freedom to live how they want – raising their own animals, growing flower and vegetable gardens, keeping horses – and much more.

With over 4,722 acres of forest preserve in Barrington Hills alone, residents have many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors — biking, running, hiking, riding horse trails and more. This outdoor lifestyle is combined with aspects of modern day suburban living as well with top-notch schools, country clubs, and nearby shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities.

The community is also known for its strong commitment to philanthropy and giving back, boasting some of the top non-profit groups and organizations in the Chicagoland area. Learn more at BarringtonHills-IL.gov.
