1. What event would you participate in if you were in the Olympics?
I would participate in gymnastics because it is a sport where you have to be creative, strong, resilient, precise, confident, focused but also gracious. I admire someone who is able to depict all those skills at once!!
2. Your favorite guilty pleasure/treat/food (could be tv show, books, or a treat or food or whatever you choose)?
Anything pumpkin flavored!!! In the fall, I really have a lot of choices for a guilty pleasure because my favorite flavor is pumpkin so I have a wide variety of choices: pumpkin pie, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bread/bagels/muffins/scones.....and even pumpkin chapstick, yes I have one (maybe 2 or 3) :-)
3. Favorite exercise/muscle group to work?
The squat is my favorite exercise. Even though at first glance it might seem as just a lower body exercise, it is actually a move that involves exercising several muscles in the upper and lower body to work together simultaneously, thus it is a dynamic exercise. The squat performed correctly can aid in not only in athletic or fitness related activities but also in daily tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, carrying heavy loads, bending. It is an exercise that can increase your overall strength. I also like the fact that when instructing, there are many elements that you can point to in order to improve the participants' form and performance. I include it in all my strength conditioning classes.
