Have you heard the news? The Arboretum of South Barrington is preparing for their first art festival, coming up on October 7th and 8th and we can’t wait to check it out! All are welcome to join The Arboretum of South Barrington Art Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days near DSW in the Arboretum’s Fashion District.

Over 50 of the country’s finest artists will showcase their art on display and for purchase, with pieces at various price points and design themes. All artists were juried to enter the show and art on display will showcase a vast mix of oil, acrylic, water color, jewelry, sculpture, photography, glass, mixed media, wearable art and more.

The Arboretum of South Barrington Art Festival will feature live art demonstrations, live music all weekend long plus kids activities including an art scavenger hunt, spin art, and a giant graffiti wall!

Kids and adults will be able to color a special picture for our troops, which will then be mailed to men and women stationed in the US and abroad, at the Draw For the Troops program, within the Art Festival.

The event will also feature the Green Ribbon Project. Bright Pink is the chosen charity for the project at the Art Festival. Participating artists will feature a green ribbon on select art pieces within their booths. If an art piece featuring the green ribbon is sold, the artist will donate 10% of proceeds from that sale, to Bright Pink, a Chicago based national non-profit focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in women!

The family friendly event is free to attend, open to the public and produced in partnership with Amdur Productions. Learn more about the upcoming Art Fest at ShopTheArb.org.
