21oct12:30 pmBarrington Area CROP WalkAn annual community hunger education and fund-raising event sponsored by Church World Service

Event Details

This year the Walk takes place throughout the Village of Barrington, beginning at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 401 E. Main St., Barrington, on Sunday, October 21.  Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the Walk will begin at 1:00.

CROP Hunger Walk funds benefit the overall work and ministry of Church World Service.  And, it’s important to note that 25 percent of funds raised in Barrington stays in our area benefiting the Northern Illinois Food Bank, the FISH Food Pantry–Carpentersville, BACOA Meals with Wheels, Wauconda-Island Lake Food Pantry, Project HOPE, and the People in Need program of the Barrington Area Ministerial Association

“There is so much need in the world, participating in CROP Walk is something positive I can do to fight the injustice that is hunger, here and abroad. We invite you to walk or donate to be a part of the change, to help build a world where there is enough for all,” invites Linda Osikowicz, this year’s chairperson.
