‘New Year, New Resolutions’ is the catchphrase that you hear at this time of year. It may seem like a cliche but approximately 40% of people make them each year.
The Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC) challenges local residents to make one of their resolutions to volunteer and give back this year to our local community! Visit our platform at www.thebavcorg and find a nonprofit that you can volunteer with in five minutes!

WALK ON FARM
Walk On is dedicated to providing equine assisted activities to people with physical, cognitive, social and emotional disabilities through quality interaction with horses.
(Equine assisted activities provide motivational, educational and recreational benefits that enhance the quality of life for those struggling with various disabilities.)
Volunteers work with the staff to build a team that helps care for the horses, prepare the horses for the lesson, and assist the instructor during the lesson as well as a variety of additional barn tasks. A limited number of office volunteers who help with office tasks like filing, organizing, and data entry. Walk On’s fundraising committee is always looking for new members too.

BARRINGTON ROTARY CLUB
The Barrington Rotary Club’s mission is to contribute to life enrichment programs for people of all ages, support community life-saving projects, and promote connectivity and enhanced interaction within the community and international programs.
The Rotary is looking for a volunteer who knows Quickbooks to help with 5 to 10 hours a month in putting information and managing their QuickBooks online account

WINGS
The mission of WINGS Program, Inc. is to provide housing, integrated services, education and advocacy to end domestic violence.
Volunteers play an important role in supporting WNG’s resale stores, logistics center, and Safe Houses. They also help with fundraising events successful. WINGS also welcomes Eagle Scout or Girl Scout troops who are interested in doing projects for WINGS.
