Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC) in conjunction with Barrington Area Library will be hosting Volunteer Connection Live again this year as part of April’s National Volunteer Month.
Stop by the library on Saturday, April 11th at the library from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Connect with local nonprofits at this combination volunteer fair, donation day, and community network. It’s a one stop easy way to learn about volunteer opportunities, and local resources. All Barrington residents ages 13 and over are welcomed to attend. Attendees earn raffle tickets for gift cards to local eateries!
If you are a nonprofit and wish to participate, please email sadams@balibrary.org.

More About the Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC)
Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC)‘s goal is to bring all 100+ Barrington area nonprofits, churches and service organizations in a free & easy to use database so that volunteers can easily find opportunities. The foundation of BAVC is a volunteer match platform called Get Connected which serves as a clearinghouse to bring together organizations, volunteers, and collaborators to match volunteer interests with nonprofits needing assistance. GetConnected also offers organizations optional features such as easy record keeping of volunteer hours, as well as mobile check in and shift reminders and other ways to communicate with volunteers.
