Well, we made it! The summer flew by in a flash filled with family trips, neighborhood BBQ’s and memories that will last a lifetime. But if you’re like me, a few weeks ago it crossed your mind that the structure of the school year will be a welcome shift from summer’s free-flowing routine. In other words… thank you, First Day of School!
District 220 students of all ages are heading back today to hit the books in Barrington and first days are happening this week and next at schools all over town. Because it’s so much fun to see photos of how grown up our favorite students are becoming, we’re again hosting our 365 Barrington Back to School Photo Contest.
We have THREE PRIZES on the line that are perfect for pampering parents who’ve been busy getting everything in gear to start the new school year and we even have our first contestant! Little Parker and Logan Jones are sporting some sweet new monogrammed backpacks at school this year! Nothing says “fresh start” like a new bag full of brand new school supplies!
Our contest prizes all come from Avalon Salon and Day Spa at Deer Park Town Center.
FIRST PLACE – Romantic Grandeur Hair Makeover
The first place prize is a full hair cut and color at Avalon with Aveda’s new “Romantic Grandeur Collection” including new colors and looks for fall hair. Plus – this winner will also receive a fall makeup application where you can discover new colors to complement your complexion and the makeup you already have at home.
SECOND PLACE – Rock the Razor Cut
Our second winner will receive a 2014 fall men’s hair cut. Avalon’s stylists were just recently trained on the hottest new looks in men’s hair, including razor cuts for a clean and easy new “do” for the new season.
THIRD PLACE – New Nails for Fall
Avalon will help our third winner refresh their hands and feet for fall with their mani/pedi of the month and your choice of from OPI’s latest nail color collection.
All in all – each winner will be treated to Avalon’s signature serene salon/spa experience and you’ll walk out with a new look to face the new season in style!
