From Bastille Day to New Year’s Eve, L’Eiffel Bistrot & Creperie in South Barrington pulls out all the stops to celebrate holidays in fabulous French style and this New Year’s Eve is no exception.
L’Eiffel’s head chef, Pepe Castillo, has been busy planning a four-course French menu for a New Year’s Eve to remember as we welcome 2015 on Wednesday, December 31st.
L’Eiffel’s four-course New Year’s Eve meal will be served in two seatings. The first seating is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 and the price per person is $45 for three courses or $50 for the full, four-course option. The second seating is from 9 :00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and the price per person is $55 for the three course option or $60 for the four course menu.
They will be featuring live entertainment, including belly dancers, a DJ and dance floor, during the second seating only. To be sure you have a table waiting, reservations for the evening are highly recommended. Here’s a look at the delicious menu they’re planning:

First Course
Half Maine Lobster
Served with a dried seaweed salad and saffron champagne sabayon
Seared Foie Gras
Served with port wine sauce, toasted brioche and sliced apple flambée with Calvados
Wild Mushroom Strudel
Served with spinach, goat cheese and a Bordelaise sauce
Chef’s Trio
Oyster, smoked salmon, and pâté with a coconut curry ceviche
Second Course
Soup/Salad
Lobster Bisque
Salade du Chef
Mâche with a crôttin cheese & prosciutto mille feuille and a cranberry, sherry vinaigrette
Third Course
7oz Sirloin Steak
Served with potato Dauphinois and a foie gras, red wine sauce
Seared Kajiki (Blue Marlin)
With a sautéed frisée salad of apples, potatoes, celery, and bacon with a champagne, chestnut cream sauce
Sautéed Duck Breast
Served with French green lentils and a cranberry, Yuzu marmalade
Trifecta of Sea Scallops
Served with vegetable tagliatelle and a green onion vinaigrette
Fourth Course
Dulcey blonde & dark chocolate mousse cake with raspberry jelly
