Barrington High School’s varsity girls basketball team celebrated this year’s seniors and took home a victory during their Senior Night “Pink Out” game against Hoffman Estates on Friday.
The players wore pink jerseys and their fans wore pink, too, in a show of support for this year’s team. The final score was 62-41, with senior Bailee McDonald ending the night with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Four seniors, Bailee McDonald-Forward, Tamara Zivak-Forward, Lauren Pector-Guard, and Ellie Frysztak-manager walked onto the court in the arms of two teammates to meet their parents, receive flowers and snap photos. BHS-TV was there to live-stream the game.
Barrington’s current record is 10-16. They play Rolling Meadows on Tuesday and if they defeat Grayslake Central on Monday the 16th, the team will advance to the playoffs.
365 Barrington photographer, Gus Goetze was there to capture the excitement on camera and talked with some of the players after the game.

“I’m so proud of the win we had on senior night. The seniors are some of the best people I know and I have made the best memories with them and the rest of our filly family! I’m really going to miss the seniors next year and wish them all the best of luck in college!” Megan Talbot, BHS Junior
