During the 2015 Stanley Cup finals, we’ve been on the hunt for “Barrington’s Biggest Blackhawks Fan” and are ready to crown this year’s winner. The prize is a Hawks shirt from Barrington’s own Grassroots Clothing & General Store. And the winner is… Andrea Zweig!!!
Andrea is from the Village of Barrington and was nominated in our contest by Pam Zweig, who says…
“Andrea is a huge Blackhawks fan! She is a busy nursing student and CNA but somehow still is able to watch almost every game and keeps up with the scores. She brings her Blackhawks spirit to the hospital with a Blackhawks badge ID and is often found high-fiving her fellow Blackhawk fan patients. Two years ago Andrea was “Mrs. Toews” for Halloween complete with a #19 jersey, white tutu “ring”, and veil. Andrea’s car is decked out with a Blackhawks plate and magnet and her hawks clothing collection continues to grow. Andrea says hockey is the best game around and the Hawks are the team that defines that!”
Congratulations, Andrea, and thanks for your nomination, Pam! We’ll be in touch in the coming days with more details about your prize. If you’re looking for your favorite team t-shirts or fun, trendy clothing and hand-crafted accessories, Grassroots Clothing & General Store in downtown Barrington is your place.
