The merchants in downtown Barrington will host a Summer Beer & Wine Walk on Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event is planned to celebrate Father’s Day and the beginning of summer in Barrington with an afternoon of sipping craft beers and a variety of wines.
The Summer Beer & Wine Walk will offer free wine tastings and other tasty treats along the way. Over twenty shops, restaurants & wine merchants are participating in this enjoyable event. Customers can begin the Wine Walk at any participating business by picking up a location map for the tasting. The participating stores are:
- Village Center Merchants participating are 18/8 Fine Men’s Salon, Allegro Dance Boutique, Alley 59, Anderson’s Candy Shop, Angelina, Barrington Flower Shop, Big Iron Horse Barbecue, Bizarre Bazaar, Bravura Home & Gift Shop, Grassroots, Heads Up Boutique, Notice, Spring Donut, Vin Chicago and Yankee Doodle Inn
- Norton’s U.S.A., Barrington’s uniquely American general store, and The English Daisy will host their events on Lageschulte Street.
- The Ice House Mall and Chessie’s Restaurant on behalf of Savvy Spirit Women’s Clothing and Accessories and Tootsies Shoes for Woman and Children
- Barrington Commons merchants are Carol & Company, Fleur de Lis Salon and Jennie and Vera’s Sweets & Savories
Barrington’s Summer Beer & Wine Walk Wine Walk is a wonderful opportunity for shoppers and visitors to experience the shops and restaurants in the Village center, the Shops on Lageschulte, Barrington Commons & North Cook Street and the Ice House Mall. The merchants look forward to showcasing the unique gifts and specialty items that make their stores distinctive. The wines for Saturday’s event are being provided by Heinen’s Fine Foods, Yankee Doodle Inn, Garfield’s Beverage Warehouse, Wool Street Grill, Ciao Baby, Big Iron Horse Barbecue, McGonigal’s Pub, Chessie’s Restaurant, Grassroots, Alley 59, Vintage Wine & Spirits and Vin Chicago.
