Support Barrington’s 2017 Ride for 3 Reasons during the First Annual Bags for Charity Tournament from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 18th. Dozens of local businesses have come together to present a fun family event to support those facing cancer, ALS and hospice.

Bags for Charity will take place in the parking lot and field at Heads Up Boutique, 200 E. Main Street in Barrington. The event will feature a Bean Bag Tournament, games for kids & adults, a DJ and big screen with football plus food & drink, including a pig roast by Heinen’s Grocery! All net proceeds will benefit Ride for 3 Reasons.

Participants may register as a team or individually. The cost is $25 to enter per adult or $15 to enter junior division (under 15).

Register today at BagsForCharity.org.

After graduating a semester early from Barrington High School, in February of 2017 Jan Gierlach will embark on a 3,300 mile solo bike ride from San Diego, California to St. Augustine, Florida to raise money and awareness for cancer, ALS and hospice.

A “PaceSetter Fund” has been established thanks to generous donors to encourage everyone to participate in Jan’s fundraising efforts. For every dollar donated, two additional dollars will be released from the fund. Help the Ride for 3 Reasons team raise $200,000 which will be tripled for a total of $600,000!

Funds will support the Les Turner ALS Foundation, Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University and JourneyCare/National Hospice Foundation.
