There’s ALWAYS something exciting happening at Barrington’s White House and their calendar of cultural events features some great experiences to be enjoyed by the community this month. In fact, due to a SOLD OUT showing of Ron Keaton as Churchill, they’ve added an extra performance to meet demand!

What I love most about the White House is how the historical venue draws world-class performers right to Barrington’s Main Street. In addition to setting the stage for private events of all kinds, the White House hosts remarkable community events featuring musicians, artists, workshops, demonstrations and so much more.

Veronica Potter, Visual Artist Exhibition
3rd Thursday, Art Night Out Series

October 19 @ 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Cost: FREE

Make Barrington’s White House your destination for art and music on the third Thursday of each month. All are welcome to enjoy the work of local artists and area musicians with complimentary hors-d’oeurvres from Wild Asparagus catering.

This month we are invited to come and meet Veronica Potter, a talented artist in watercolor, collage, woodcut and dance. A long-time resident of Barrington, she’ll be exhibiting a variety of her works demonstrating her one-of-a-kind style and energy.

Kim Albrecht, Jazz Pizazz
3rd Thursday, Art Night Out Series

October 19 @ 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Ticket Price: $20

Also for 3rd Thursdays on October 19th this month, enjoy a musical performance by Jazz Pizazz with Soprano Kim Albrecht from 7:30 – 9:30.

Join this local favorite jazz trio as they perform jazz standards, swing era favorites and pop hits, reintroducing the American songbook. Soprano Kimberly Albrecht brings her talents form jazz and classical training to the White House stage.

Ron Keaton as Churchill

1st showing (SOLD OUT) – October 22 @ 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

SECOND SHOW ADDED – (Tickets now available) – October 22 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Witness this famous WWII icon come to life! Keaton brings his authentic portrayal of the former British Prime Minister in a reflective mood, giving an intimate view of the fierce statesman, as well as Churchill’s humorous and human side. Written by Keaton, “Churchill” comes to the White House after a sold-out, Off Broadway run with Keaton’s Jeff-Award performance as the “British Bulldog.”

The first showing of Ron Keaton as Churchill on October 22nd is now sold out.

Preserving Family History Genealogy Workshop
by the Daughters of the American Revolution

October 28 @ 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Cost: FREE

The Signal Hill Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, of Barrington will be holding a Free Genealogy Workshop on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m. at the Barrington White House. Please join us as we explain basic information on how to search for your family history during this fun and informative workshop.

Please bring your tablet or laptop and a basic knowledge of the first three generations of your family. We will show you where to look for records, Google Search tips and provide you with a worksheet and pedigree chart.

Completely restored in 2015 to mark the Village of Barrington’s Sesquicentennial celebration, Barrington’s White House at 145 W.
