The Barrington Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) raised nearly $100,000 during their 2018 fall fashion show named, “POP! Happy Looks Good on You”. Hundreds of guests attended the November event featuring an exciting mix of shopping and fashion to support BJWC causes at Stonegate Conference Centre in Hoffman Estates.

With bold color and bright styles, the BJWC put F-U-N into both fashion and philanthropy. Guests enjoyed a variety of boutique shopping vendors, raffles, silent and live auctions. A luncheon and fashion show produced by Zzazz Productions of Chicago completed the day. Unique live auction items included a 3-4 day immersive internship with Barrington native, Cynthia Rowley in New York City and an “instant Christmas” package meant to provide a full holiday home experience.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, all funds raised will help the Barrington Junior Women’s Club support numerous local charities including Barrington Youth and Family Services, Barrington Giving Day, Journey Care, WINGS, Meals on Wheels, Gigi’s Playhouse and scholarships for Barrington High School seniors.

Co-chairs Emily Kerous and Jen Hopwood both expressed their great gratitude for the community and their committee who worked tirelessly.  “We were honored to be a part of this legacy event–women leaders working uniquely together to benefit the community,” says Emily Kerous. Jen Hopwood added, “The entire day was such a joyful experience–I am overwhelmed by the beautiful examples of selfless giving by our committee and community.”
