It’s not often that your job actually helps you keep your new year’s resolutions, but Service Team Leader Olivia Stepanek says that’s the case at Egg Harbor Café. Olivia says one of her goals for 2019 is to stick to a better diet and teach her daughters the value of nutritious eating and healthy choices. “The food that we make here at Egg Harbor Café is very high quality. We use the freshest locally sourced ingredients and offer delicious healthy menu choices so it does make life a lot easier when we have these options to choose from.”
You’ll probably recognize Olivia if you’ve been to Egg Harbor Café in Barrington. She started working there as a hostess nearly six years ago. “I was very shy when I first started here. I was the one who hid behind the counters every single time a guest came up.” Over time, Olivia gained confidence at work. She was promoted to server and now she leads Egg Harbor’s team of servers in Barrington.
“Over the years I’ve made so many personal connections with our customers at Egg Harbor Café,” Olivia says. “There have been a couple that I’ve actually had the privilege to babysit for and others I’ve become friends with. I love building relationships with customers. Being able to serve them in this warm, friendly environment just makes me happy walking through the doors every day.”
Olivia says her favorite thing on Egg Harbor Café’s menu is any dish that features their signature Cherrywood-Smoked Bacon like the California Club, filled with turkey, avocado, crisp bacon, tomato, Jack cheese and lettuce piled high on multigrain bread.
She says her customer favorites include anything featuring Egg Harbor Café’s signature Door County Chicken Salad.
