Dash for the Dogs 5K Run/Walk with Animal House Shelter

It’s a race that’s literally for the dogs! Bring your favorite 4-legged friends and join Animal House Shelter for their 9th annual Dash for the Dogs 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk on Sunday, May 19th at Citizens Park in Barrington. This event helps raise funds to support Animal House Shelter’s mission to rescue all breeds of dogs and cats regardless of age or medical condition. Animal  House Shelter has rescued over 45,000 animals since they were established in 2002.

  • Date: Sunday, May 19, 2019
  • Location: Citizens Park, 511 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL
  • Time: 6:15 am -11:00 am
  • Check-in/Registration: 6:15 am to 7:45 am (in Jewel Tea Pavilion)
  • 5K Run/Walk: 8:00 am, Awards: 9:00 am, 1 Mile Walk: 9:45 am
  • Cost: $25-$35 pre-registration, $40 race day registration, free for children under age 10
    • $25 for groups of 10 or more who register online
    • Earn a $10 refund for every 5 people who register with your referral link (provided once you register)

The race course is certified and timed. Top 3 male and female finishers overall and in each age group will receive awards. Age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & over. The first two dogs to cross the finish line will also receive a prize!

Pre-register online from now – May 18, 2018. Register early for the best rate!

Teams of 10 or more people will receive a discounted registration rate of $25. You must set up your team/choose your team when registering. Please note, team members 1-9 will be charged the full amount and receive a refund once the 10th team member registers. The 10th team member and members thereafter will be charged $25. Don’t forget to create a group fundraising page as well!

Can’t make the event, you can register for our Virtual Dash for the Dogs and run anywhere at any time! We’ll ship you an official Dash for the Dogs t-shirt and race bag the week of May 20th!

Promotions, Set up of tents and event tables, Parking lot attendants, Registration, T-shirt sales, Course direction, Water tables, Food table
