When we asked Cupid to share #6 on his Countdown to Valentine’s Day in Barrington, all he could say was “Ooh là là!” He popped a petit four into his mouth and could not stop raving about the elegance, sophistication and pure joy radiating from the counter at Barrington’s own Ambrosia Euro American Patisserie. Heart Shaped Cakes
White Chocolate Raspberry Heart Shaped Gateau:
2 layers of vanilla sponge cake, with raspberry swiss seedless marmalade and white chocolate mousse, frosted with Vanilla Italian buttercream.
Chocolate Bavarian Heart Shaped Gateau:
2 Layers of chocolate sponge cake, with dark chocolate mousse, frosted with a thin layer of chocolate Swiss buttercream and enrobed in dark chocolate ganache.

Chocolate Bavarian Domes:
About 3″ in diameter, consisting of chocolate sponge cake with chocolate mousse, and enrobed in dark chocolate ganache in a dome shape.
White Chocolate Raspberry Individual Hearts:
Consisting of vanilla sponge cake, raspberry swiss seedless marmalade and white chocolate mousse, frosted with vanilla Italian buttercream.
Individual Cherry Almond Cheesecakes:
About 4″ in diameter, our vanilla bean cheesecakes sit on a layer of vanilla sponge cake, topped with homemade cherry compote, almonds and whipped cream.
Bite Sized Beauties

Petit Four:
Alternating layers of vanilla swiss roulade with chefs choice swiss seedless marmalade (either strawberry or raspberry,) enrobed in white chocolate, decorated beautifully with vanilla Italian buttercream.
Passion Fruit and Raspberry White Chocolate Tart:
In a vanilla butter tart shell, a white chocolate-passion fruit ganache is swirled with our artisan raspberry puree.
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries:
Strawberries dipped in dark chocolate…wouldn’t be Valentine’s day without them!
