For a little 1960’s style dance music, check out Hairspray at Station Middle School.

In 1962 Baltimore, Maryland, plump teenager Tracy Turnblad’s dream to dance on a local TV dance program becomes a reality, turning her into an overnight celebrity. She then launches a campaign to integrate the show. Hairspray is a social commentary on the injustices of parts of American society in the 1960s.

You can catch Hairspray at Station Middle School on April 14th, 15th or 16th at 7PM or see the Matinee on Sunday, April 17th at 2PM. Tickets are $15, they’re available at the theater box office and you’ll find Station Middle School at 215 Eastern Avenue in Barrington.
