If you’re feeling crafty tonight, there’s still space in Lori Weyburn’s “Cocktails and Crafts” class at Bataille Academie of Art in Barrington. Bring a friend or make a friend as you make creative gift tags, cards and seasonal crafts that make great gifts for teachers, friends and family. Did I mention they’ll also be serving wine?
The class is happening tonight, Thursday, December 14th, from 7-9 p.m. You can call ahead to let Lori know you’re coming at 847-894-8589 and walk-ins are also welcome. The cost to attend is $40 and that includes the supplies, the wine and the company (which is priceless).
Lori is the instructor for adult and kids’ crafts at Bataille Academie and she says tonight’s event is not only social, it’s also meant to be productive. You’ll have the option to make gift bags with matching tags, cork boards to be hung by a ribbon or magnet, handmade flower magnet clips and more. “It’s a great way to make indivicual gifts for teachers and coaches and and friends and family gifts that become more one-of-a kind, from-the-heart gifts rather than your basic candle from the store.”
