The Community Church of Barrington is sponsoring a Classic Christmas Matinée Series coming up at the Catlow Theater. They’re starting with a showing of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas this weekend starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney.

Catlow owner Tim O’Connor says they’re in a position to host special matinée showings now that the theater is fully equipped for digital movie playing after the Kickstarter crowdsource funding campaign that raised $175,000 for theater improvements last fall. They hosted a matinee showing of the movie Grease in October and showed Despicable Me in September to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Tickets to the Catlow’s Classic Christmas Matinée series cost $5 and can be purchased at the door. Here are the three featured movies:
White Christmas
Saturday – Dec. 7th @ 11:00 AM
It’s a Wonderful Life
Saturday – Dec. 14th @ 11:00 AM
A Christmas Story
Saturday – Dec. 21st @ 11:00 AM
