It was a chilly weekend, for sure, but organizers of ChristKindlFest 2013 say, for its inaugural year, the event was a great success! From the German food and beer to the authentic and hand-made merchandise to the musical performances all weekend long, there was no shortage of fun and festive things to do. The ChristKindlFest carnival rides and live reindeer were a big hit with kids and 365Barrington TV Reporter Catherine Goetze was there to capture all of the excitement on camera in her special report which you will find below.
Photographer Julie Linnekin and I were also at the festival taking photos throughout the weekend for you to enjoy. We were even there to capture the finale of Sunday’s Tuba Christmas concert when close to two dozen tuba players of all ages raised their instruments in the air to celebrate the season in true tuba tradition.
You’ll find our photo album with about 100 of our favorite images below. But first, here’s Catherine Goetze’s colorful video report sharing the sights and sounds from Barrington’s inaugural ChristKindlFest.
Thank you to both the Barrington Breakfast Rotary and the Barrington Village Association for working so hard to plan ChristKindlFest and to the many generous sponsors who made it all possible. It was a special weekend for all of us and we look forward to next year’s festival! In the meantime, we hope you enjoy our collection of images from ChristKindlFest 2013.
