Catlow Theater continues with a kick
After much fundraising and remodeling, the Catlow Theater is continuing its “kickstarter” efforts with an in-house seat donation drive. Lucky donors receive once in a lifetime perks like free movie passes, concessions and meals from Boloney’s Sandwich Shop! Catlow Theater Owner Tim O’Connor opens up about the emotional events of the past year.

Drop pounds with Barrington Martial Arts
Area residents are taking part in an 8-week challenge to lose two jean sizes. Deer Park mother Lisa Walston shares her secrets to successful weight loss. Walston blew away the competition by changing her diet and sticking out Barrington Martial Arts fitness classes for the long-term – ultimately dropping six jeans sizes!

From London back home
Barrington High School band members have returned from their trip to Europe where they performed at the London New Year’s Day Parade and subsequent concert festival. These students were under the recognition of Queen Elizabeth II – what an honor! Check out photos from the band trip in this week’s Barrington Suburban Life.

Georgio’s awards free pizza – for a year
What would you do with a year’s supply of pie? Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria of Crystal Lake and South Barrington is celebrating 11 years of service by rewarding its fan base. The one-millionth and one-millionth and first pizza customers received free pizza for a year, and now they’re sharing what they plan to do with their exciting earnings.
