"Let it Go" Sing Along Contest Winners

Well, it was fun while it lasted! But our latest Barrington 220 “Cold Day” contest has come to a close. This was our first ever video submission contest here at 365Barrington.com and we were so excited to receive about two dozen videos of talented young Barrington area singers sharing their own renditions of Academy Award nominated power ballad Let it Go from Disney’s hit movie Frozen.

How I wish we had movie tickets to give away to each and every one of you who entered our contest. But we only have four pairs of tickets to give away to see movies at both the AMC South Barrington 30 and the Century 16 Deer Park movie theaters. With so much talent on display, it would have simply been impossible to choose four winners. So we put everyone’s name into a hat and, moments ago, my husband Bill drew the names of our four winners.

And the winners are…

The Beaubien family, the Kozlowski family, first graders and best friends Camryn and Morgan from Grove Avenue School and last, but not least, friends Hannah Mullany and Sydney Goodman who also chose to enter our contest as a duet. WOW! After listing to all of these renditions, I think Let it Go will be running through my head for the next decade!

And if your kids, like ours, just can’t get enough of this song, the sing along version of the movie Frozen is now playing at both the Century 16 Deer Park and AMC South Barringon 30 movie theaters.

Without further delay, we are excited to share all of the videos submitted in our contest, starting with our four winning videos. This first video is THE ONLY submission where the singers rewrote the lyrics to the song, making it a “Cold Day” parody just for our school district titled, A Cold Day’s Here in 220. Their lyrics include clever rhymes referencing Barrington 220 Schools Superintendent, Dr. Tom Leonard.

A cold day’s here, a cold day’s here
Dr. Leonard called another one it’s clear
Celebrate, can’t wait, it’s not too late, we’ll celebrate
Let it snow, let it snow, temps can’t drop down anymore
Let it snow, let it snow it’s time to wrap up and shut the door

Here are all of our entry captions, followed by the submitted videos. Thank you for participating. I’ll be in touch with our winners this week to make arrangements to deliver your movie tickets!
