The Deer Park St. Paddy’s 5k features live Irish music to get everyone in the spirit.  And don’t forget to pucker up as you run beneath the on-course “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” Arch. At the finish, enjoy green soda, chocolate gold coins and more Irish inspired treats. All race participants will receive a ring spun cotton shirt and the first 600 people who register will also receive a pint glass with the race logo.

The USATF certified 5k (3.1 mile) course is completely paved.  The race route weaves through the Deer Park Town Center and then onto the streets of the Village of Deer Park. All miles will be marked with water stops along the way.

Proceeds from the Deer Park St. Paddy’s 5k will benefit Young at Heart Senior Pet Rescue, the only organization in the state of Illinois that is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming senior dogs and cats of all breeds. At age 7 years or older, the homeless animals they bring into their adoption program are from shelters where they are going to be euthanized simply due to their age. Young at Heart Senior Pet Rescue provides the dogs and cats in their care with all the medical, emotional, and physical support that they need until they find a family that recognizes that Love Has No Age Limit (TM).
