So by now you’ve read all about Barrington’s big community Ice Bucket Challenge that took place at the gazebo downtown on Thursday night, but there is one minor detail that I forgot to mention. I asked 365BarringtonTV reporter James Owen to take the challenge on behalf of 365Barrington.com. He agreed, but I bet James never thought this would happen when he joined our crew at the start of the summer!
After considering who we should tag in the Ice Bucket challenge, we decided to hit up Heinen’s Grocery, Cook Street Coffee and Barrington High School teacher Mr. Doles and his BHS-TV team.
So how about it, Heinen’s, Cook Street Coffee and BHS-TV?
Would you rather take on the Ice Bucket Challenge or make a donation to the Les Turner ALS Foundation? My fingers are crossed that you’ll opt for the former and we’d love to share your videos in the coming week right here at 365Barrington.com.
And stay tuned for our Community Ice Bucket Challenge VIDEO! James Owen and videographer Alex Gaul will be editing like crazy in the coming days to bring you straight to the action.
Thanks for taking one for the team, James! I couldn’t quite find the courage – PLUS – I had a sneaking suspicion that this would be a fun one to photograph and that role had my name written all over it ;).
