138. Barrington Art Festival Returns Memorial Day Weekend

What a beautiful day for the sixth annual Barrington Art Festival! Artists have been busy setting up for the fest which returns Memorial Day weekend (May 23-24), along Cook and Station streets in downtown Barrington. The festival runs from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th and coincides with the celebration of the Village’s 150th anniversary.

“The Barrington Art Festival is delighted to serve as part of the festivities that are marking the Village’s anniversary,” says Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions. “Adding art to Barrington’s already charming downtown, which is filled with fantastic café’s, boutiques and restaurants, only enhances the Village’s appeal as a must-visit, must-see weekend destination.”

Free and open to the public, the Barrington Art Festival will showcase the work of more than 130-juried artists from around the world in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, sculpture and more. In addition to the incredible artwork available for purchase, attendees will be able to interact with artists through demonstrations and booth chats. Live music, kid-friendly activities, such as the patARTic graffiti wall, and epicurean delights also will be available for visitors to enjoy.
