WGN-TV’s Nancy Loo will be the emcee for the evening.  Connie Going will speak about her efforts to improve the foster care system in the State of Florida, where she worked with current Illinois Department of Child and Family Services Director, George Sheldon.

Connie advocates for change through her own story of adoption from foster care. She is well known for being the social worker who brought a child available for adoption to a congregation on a Sunday morning as he spoke to the crowd, asking for a family. This never-before-seen method of outwardly asking for a family brought in thousands of requests to adopt the teenager, who Connie eventually adopted herself. She and her son, Davion, have appeared throughout the country on the Today Show, CBS Evening News and a special with Diane Sawyer

To be part of the momentum behind this new wave of hope for children in foster care, Let It Be Us leaders hope you’ll consider joining them for Monday’s inaugural Golf Tournament.  The Individual Player Package includes open driving range, lunch and dinner for $250.  There’s also a dinner-only ticket for $100 along with a variety of sponsorship opportunities.  CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online or become a sponsor today.  For more information about the cause, visit LetItBeUs.org.
