I call this space THE LANDING as our kiddos are flying through here 🤣 and land on their butts half the time.
It’s a space between the living room and the kitchen, that previously was not utilized at all.
Our couches where exactly where they are now but rather than an island there was an open, blah space!
When we bought the house TV cabinet was where the fridge is now, and entry doors where right by the oven!
Let’s just say we rearranged it a bit 😉 I feel that we did good utilizing the space and we made it even more open.

Side note: the step! Our hone has like 4 different levels as people before us didn’t do a great job “doing the right thing” so as you can see there is about 3” step up from dining room area into the living kitchen! Our kids know exactly where it is and when they run they know to hop up. it’s pretty funny 😆

A crowd pleaser from our pastry showcase...our mice eclairs! They are choux pastry, filled with our homemade vanilla bean pastry cream, dipped in a milk chocolate with toasted almonds (for the ears!)
